The Colors Within cuenta la historia de la joven Totsuko Higurashi (Sayu Suzukawa), una chica que ve colores en el corazón de cualquiera cuando lo conoce. Forma un grupo con sus amigos, Kimi Sakunaga (Akari Takaishi) y Rui Kagehira (Taisei Kido).

The Colors Within es una gran película

La directora Naoko Yamada nos ha regalado una película encantadora, bastante divertida y que te hará llorar en su última escena. Sin embargo, no es tan impecable como “Look Back” (2024) o “The Boy and the Heron” (2023), otras dos películas de anime que he visto recientemente. La animación es impresionantemente hermosa y es lo más destacado de la película.

Las canciones son trepidantes

Las interpretaciones vocales son perfectas. Sayu Suzukawa está impresionante como Totsuko Higurashi. Akari Takaishi es impresionante como Kimi Sakunaga.

El reparto secundario es excelente

Tatsachen, die persönlichen Vorurteilen widersprechen, können einfach diskreditiert werden – der Idiot kann sich sogar durch Kritik an ihnen rächen und wenn sie unbestreitbar sind, kann man sie einfach als triviale Ausnahmen abtun. Die Geschichte ist fesselnd und ihre Themen berühren eine tiefe ethische Ebene: die Idee, dass Schweigen angesichts des Bösen selbst eine Form der Mittäterschaft ist.

Die Darbietungen sind bemerkenswert, die Schauspieler verleihen ihren Rollen echte Authentizität und Intensität

Obwohl das anfängliche Tempo von einem strafferen Schnitt hätte profitieren können, findet die Erzählung schnell ihren Halt und zieht das Publikum in ihre moralischen und emotionalen Tiefen. I recently watched Babygirl and I have to say it’s one of the most unique and daring thrillers I’ve seen in a while.

First off, the visuals are stunning

Directed by Halina Reijn, the film dives deep into the complexities of human desire and power dynamics, wrapped in an intense, almost suffocating atmosphere. Jasper Wolf’s cinematography captures the raw emotion of each scene, combining light and shadow to create an atmospheric, almost dreamlike world. There’s a constant sense of tension, as if something explosive is always on the verge of happening, and the pacing keeps you on the edge of your seat the entire time.

That said, Babygirl isn’t for everyone

Nicole Kidman delivers a stunning performance, bringing a mix of vulnerability and cold calculation to her character. The supporting cast, while lesser-known, also does a great job of giving the story depth and unpredictability. Without giving too much away, the film’s exploration of psychological control and submission is both unsettling and mesmerizing.

Its erotic elements are tastefully done, but some viewers may find them uncomfortable or controversial

The plot sometimes feels deliberately vague, forcing you to piece together the characters’ motivations, which I found intriguing but may frustrate others. Overall, if you enjoy psychological thrillers that don’t shy away from taboo subjects and push boundaries, Babygirl is definitely worth a watch. The film is unsettling, stylish, and will have you thinking about it long after the credits have rolled.

For the first time in my life it happened to me that I couldn’t sleep after watching a series.

I watched Prison Break, Heroes and many others

The first season of Prison Break and Heroes were amazing. They inspired me so much that I got some tattoos on my body. However, both series let down as soon as they went to the next season. Heroes was a big disappointment but DEXTER… OMG series after series starts making me so curious about the next episode… damn, season 4. I just couldn’t sleep the whole night after watching it. I spent my weekend watching the episodes one after the other.

To start with Dexter (Michael C

Hall), his darkness was off the charts, he played the role so well that sometimes I wonder if he is the same in real life, but then I found out that Debra Morgan (Jennifer Carpenter) is his real wife who is playing his sister in this series. Damn, Debra is a character who is so confused and mostly controlled by the people around her, she always ends up doing something wrong but she always gets credit for the good things too. I love the part where you get to know what is going on in Dexter’s mind when he thinks about something or when someone is talking to him, also the part where he talks to his dead father Harry. (he just thinks about what his father would say in that situation). Every episode/character and every season is so well written and acted that you will hardly find any fault with them. My favorite characters are Dexter (pretty obvious), Rita and Vince Masuka.

(I apologize if my first review has some mistakes and offends anyone’s feelings)

Damn, Vince is so funny, he only says one word in the entire episode and it comes out so funny. I can’t wait for season 5 and I’m sure anyone who’s watched Dexter feels the same way I do.
